I'm kind of old fashioned, I prefer mechanical or automatic watches over battery.I had ordered another USMC pocketwatch and was disappointed in the quality.This watch is much, much nicer.The emblem is painted on or enameled and looks very good.The watch has a nice heft to it for an article as small as a pocketwatch.
